Everquest 2

When the game Everquest 2 came out, I started playing it right away. That was on 13.11.2004. At the beginning it was a lot of fun, because everything was new. But with the time the boredom crept in, so that I decided to cancel my account to the 29.06.2005.

In that time I managed to get my wood elf (ranger) to level 34. However, playing as a scout class was no walk in the park and in my opinion, this class was also the hardest to play.

The following characters were in my possession:

With Everquest, it was annoying that Sony constantly had to change the game rules. If you just got used to a new rule, it was replaced by something else. Even if you can understand the fine-tuning, it reduces the gameplay in the long run.

It was also not possible to customize the characters very much. The skills were too similar, so that in principle you always encountered the same characters. Many warriors always wore the same armor. This made the image of uniformity almost perfect. 😉

Everquest 2 – Part 2

After taking a long break and spending my trial month on World of Warcraft, I got back into Everquest 2 in September 2005.

This time I added a new character. It’s a Warlock and it’s really fun.

One Spell to rule them all, One Spell to find them,
One Spell to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Everquest 2 – Part 3

Sometimes I wonder what Sony is actually programming. There are new patches on the market and they are full of bugs. LU19 was once again the crowning glory. You can now mentor better, but still the values were not right at the back and front. Procs and poisons remained at their old values.

Also, lately you have to fight only with lags and the like. So playing is really no fun anymore. Alleged server crashes were also the order of the day. And they didn’t pay attention to the services either. We hardly received any official messages and my in-game inquiries about my lost pants were never answered. And then you have to pay money for that. Sorry Sony, but this is really too stupid for me. I have therefore canceled my account to 18.02.06. Let’s see where the future will take me.
