Some will surely wonder how I came up with this name. At the beginning I had always used quite ordinary nicknames (LordofTerror / Badboy). But there were often collisions with others, who either also wanted to use the name or simply didn’t like the name. So I decided to use a nick that no one else uses, because it is my own creation.

It all started with the game “Ultima Online”. After graduating from high school in 2000, I registered on the role-playing server “Schattenwelt” and needed a name that conformed to the role-playing game. So I decided to use the English word “grace” and “deformed” this word a little bit and the result was the name “Graccem”.

At that time, however, I only used the name for the character on “Shadow World”. The porting to the nickname came much later. I can’t give an exact date for it, but it must have been end of 2002 or beginning of 2003. But since that time I use the nickname consequently. If you ever meet a “Graccem”, it will be me. 🙂

I secured the domain graccem.de on 07.02.2004. But there is a content only since April 2005. Before that the domain was just lying around. But now I will fill it with private stuff from time to time. Furthermore I try to design everything on this website with CSS and of course conform to the W3C standard. For HTML I use the HTML 4.01 strict mode.

However, IE6.0 cannot display some things like transparent PNGs. Therefore, it is recommended to use a more modern browser. IE6.0 should not have any limitations in the user interface, since the features that IE cannot display are limited to visual things only.

With today’s date it is finally also possible that IE can display the transparent PNGs correctly.

The website was modernized. It now supports the latest PHP version and works on the basis of WordPress.
